How we vet offshore agents before they reach your team

October 24, 2026 · GoRemote

On average, we interview about 17 candidates for every agent we place. Selection is the single biggest driver of how an offshore team performs, so it is where we spend the most effort.

Interviews

Candidates are screened for communication, role experience and judgment before they are put forward. For client-facing roles, spoken English and call manner are tested directly. You meet the finalists before anyone starts.

Background checks

Every agent goes through a full background check before placement. It covers criminal history and employment history, including whether a candidate has been let go from a previous role and why.

Confidentiality

Every agent signs a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement before they touch a client system.

Controls from day one

Vetting does not stop at hiring. Once placed, agents work under the same controls on every engagement:

  • VPN access and two-factor authentication on client systems
  • A separate login for every client — never shared accounts
  • Monitoring software on every workstation used for client work
  • On our floor: no personal phones, a clean-desk policy and camera coverage

Offboarding

When an agent leaves an engagement, their access is revoked immediately. If a placement is not the right fit within the first 30 days, we replace them.
